Refund Policy
Effective Date: September 11, 2026 · Last Updated: September 11, 2026
This policy covers what Qorum charges organisations for using the platform: the monthly subscription fee and the one-time setup fee. It restates Section 4 of our Terms of Use in plain language; if the two ever differ, the Terms of Use apply.
1. The Short Version
- Every organisation starts with a 14-day free trial. No card is needed.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time.
- After you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
- Payments already made, including the setup fee, are not refunded, except where the law requires it.
2. Try Before You Pay
Nothing is charged during the 14-day trial, and the trial does not turn into a paid subscription on its own — you choose whether to subscribe. That is why we do not offer refunds: you can add members, run an event and send an email before you pay anything.
3. Cancelling
An administrator of your organisation can cancel from the admin area under Settings → Account → Manage Billing, which opens Stripe’s secure billing portal.
When the paid period ends:
- Your organisation’s admin area becomes restricted. Your public site stays online.
- Your organisation’s data is not deleted when you cancel. Long-dormant organisations may be archived after notice, as the Terms of Use describe.
- You can subscribe again at any time. The setup fee is only ever charged once.
4. No Refunds
Subscription fees and the setup fee are non-refundable, including for part of a billing period you did not use, except where required by applicable law.
This does not cover billing mistakes. If you were charged twice, or charged after your cancellation took effect, contact us and we will correct it.
5. Failed Payments
If a renewal payment fails, your organisation keeps access for 7 days while you update your payment method through Manage Billing. If payment has not succeeded by then, the admin area is restricted until it does.
6. Payments Made to an Organisation
Membership dues and event tickets that members pay to an organisation on Qorum are collected by that organisation through its own Stripe account. Qorum is not the seller of those memberships or tickets and does not decide refunds for them. If you paid an organisation and want a refund, please contact that organisation directly.
For organisations: when you refund a member’s payment, Qorum’s platform fee on that payment is not returned (see Section 3 of the Terms of Use). Stripe’s own processing fees are governed by Stripe’s terms.
